Hey guys, I thought it would be great to make a documentary on an individual who played a great role in Early Japanese History. We should do a documentary on Tokugawa Ieyasu, who was the founder and first shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate. I have researched him a bit and realized he is quite interesting, and guys samurai and war is still involved. I was wondering that we first begin with a short scene with a baby we display as Tokugawa. We show him being fed by mother and then we begin a narration which says: "Tokugawa Ieyasu, born as typical baby to a honorable family, would soon be crowned as one of the most important person in Japanese history, appointed as a shogun, a future ruler of a empire soon to come." And after that the screen would fade and then the names of our director and co director would be flashed along with Produced by H2G Period 6, etc. And then the movie shall begin with however we decide to begin it with. You may post your opinions about this idea. This is just an idea and it is subject to change and corrections. If you are unsure of who this person is be sure to research him. Visit Wikipedia and type in the Keyword: Tokugawa Ieyasu.

I think that this is a great idea, and as Kazi develops this plot, he should keep us updated. All other ideas by other classmates should be posted as well.

funny Shafir. I think thats a good idea also. And yeah, Sarah and I chose the topic, and it wasn't what you wanted, sorry about that. The movie is still going to be amazing, so lets put that behind us and get to work. :-) John.
Ok, I guess Shafir changed his comment, so if this doesn't make much sense, just ignore it.

In the documentary, will we be interviewing people from his time as if we were in the past, or will we be in present day interviewing 'experts' that know about him?

It would not be like a typical documentary. It will just focus on the life of him and what impact he brought to civilization. Everyone keep on adding comments and opinions. With cooperation from everyone, we will be able to put together a wonderful movie. So everyone post opinions and ideas.

We show him being fed by mother... This has to be PG-13, right... Just kidding. Seriously, it is a good idea. He looks like a interesting person, and it also looks do able.

We don't have to make this a documentary. We can still do him, and do his life. Just another idea.

just to clarify, we could do a biography, without doing a documentary.

A real baby is not such a good idea, we do not want to kill your brother by accident, but i think either a movie about important events in his life of just about his life in general is a good idea.

A question: should we make the film on more specific material such as a major battle which he led, or on broader ideas, such as everything that occurs during his life?
