Everyone, even if you are not a researcher, post them as well as email them to John and Sarah some information that you like and want as part of the movie. Also, if you have any ideas for a plot, please email the ideas as well. Thankyou.

Since the idea of a biography is possible, i was thinking the first five [or less] minutes of the film could show Tokugawa Ieyasu's childhood and the beginning of his rise to power. It doesn't really need narration, it could just be filmed on sad, cloudy day showing his rough childhood: -born in 1543 in Mikawa. -two leading/warring clans: Iwagawa and Oda. -Oda invades Mikawa. -his father seeks help from Iwagawa clan. -Yashimoto, head of the Iwagawa clan requests that as a sign of loyalty, Ieyasu must be sent to them as a hostage. -Oda clan kidnaps Ieyasu (age 6) while he is being sent to the Iwagawa. -3 years later, Iwagawa general, Sessai, seiges a castle of the Oda clan. -Sessai makes a deal with the Oda: return of the castle for Ieyasu. -deal is made, Ieyasu raised by the Iwagawa until he is 15 years old, becoming a vassal under Yashimoto. -in 1556 (age 16), Ieyasu is allowed to return to Mikawa but is also given an assignment to battle the Oda clan. -he wins his first battle at the Siege of Terabe.
This is just an outline of all the main details/points during his childhood.

For the 3 yr old Ieyasu being kidnapped, we can have someone carry a dressed up doll/teddy bear/pillow. Then an Oda clan member kills the person and runs away with Ieyasu. Also, we can end his background info with the Siege of Terabe, make the screen fade white, then show him as an adult with general/shogun type clothing with subordinates at a meeting. lol, just a thought.

I think it would be better if we start off when he is already an adult, since the film is only 25 mins. But we either way, we can still edit th part that we dont want out.

"The Tokugawa, with a huge army led by Shogun Hidetada, laid siege to Osaka castle. The siege dragged on for more than a year. Eventually, Tokugawa made a deal using Hideyori's mother to stop the fighting. However, as soon as the treaty was agreed to, Tokugawa filled Osaka Castle's moats with sand so his troops could go across them. He then ignored the treaty and attacked Osaka Castle. Finally in late 1615, Osaka Castle fell and nearly all the defenders were killed including Hideyori, his mother (Hideyoshi's widow, Yodogimi), and his infant son." - got this from wikipedia
This should be pretty fun.

yea, well most of the film will still be on his adult life but I was just thinking a brief part describing his background and how he became a leader of an army for 5 or less minutes would be good since it would be weird if we just start the film with him already a shogun, it'd be pretty confusing.
